I started making chainmail in 2018 at my desk job where I worked a graveyard shift. It started out as a hobby, but I always hoped to take it to the next step. Over the past few years, Thunder Steel has gone through many phases. The first few years I was on my own, repeatedly trying to get it off the ground but I never made it out of Instagram stories (lol). Later, I joined forces with my beautiful friend Tonya — we did several markets in Arizona, California, and Texas, and a couple story sales but after some time we decided to quit doing Thunder Steel together. I’m so grateful for the time we worked alongside each other. I’ve taken a long hiatus, still making pieces every now and then with the hopes of bringing it back, and now I’m back!!
